Micah Parsons Suffers Season-Ending ACL Injury
By Jonah Reeves | Wednesday, December 17
Micah Parsons’ season came to a sudden stop this week after tests confirmed the Packers edge rusher tore his left ACL during Sunday’s loss to the Broncos.
The injury occurred late in the third quarter when Parsons landed awkwardly while pursuing quarterback Bo Nix. He immediately grabbed his knee and was helped off the field, with an MRI the following day confirming the diagnosis. Parsons has not yet undergone surgery, as teams typically allow swelling to subside before the procedure.
Parsons has since returned to the Dallas area, where he plans to undergo surgery and be present for the birth of his third child. Before the injury, he had been one of Green Bay’s most impactful defenders this season, recording 12.5 sacks and anchoring a pass rush that helped keep the Packers in the playoff hunt. His absence leaves a major gap as Green Bay approaches the final stretch of the regular season.
Think you know what’s next for the Packers?
